Pilot lands in field after running out of fuel

A PILOT had to make an emergency landing in a freshly cut cane paddock on private property near Kuttabul.

The ultra light plane was forced to make the landing after the pilot ran out of fuel.

Mackay Police said the plane flipped over after landing in the paddock.

Queensland Ambulance Service attended to the pilot who had minor injuries but was not taken to hospital.

The incident happened at about 7.30am on Sunday morning.
