PHOTOS: Rain doesn't stop Anzac tribute in town

RAIN threatened to put a dampener on Anzac Day commemorations but the weather didn't stop residents getting out in force across the region.

While rain did fall at Boyne Island and Calliope services it held off in Gladstone where residents crowded at memorials to pay tribute to servicemen and women.

Services and marches went off without a hitch in front of big crowds.
