LISTEN: Bundaberg buyer scoops record Gladstone region home
IF YOU had your hopes set on buying the best property in Agnes Water, it's too late.
With unparalleled beachfront views the property at the Sunrise estate recently sold for a record breaking $1.634 million.
Cam Rodgers from Cam Realty said he hadn't sold any properties in Agnes Water like "171 Sunbird" for more than 10 years.
"Nothing compares to this property," Mr Rodgers said.
"It's a one off house that would be impossible to recreate."
Mr Rodgers said the lucky buyers were from Bundaberg and were planning on using the property as a holiday house.
"They've bought and exceptional property at an exceptional price," he said.
"The market has been a bit patchy and it's good to see that there's still some money splashing around."

The house had been on the market for around 12 months and despite the seemingly hefty price tag, the previous owner sold the property at a considerable loss.
"It cost $2.4 million to build and to buy the land you would have been looking at $800,000," Mr Rodgers said.
"The guy who built it took a bit of a loss on it but that's the unfortunate reality for some of the high end rental properties.
"It's a buyer's market and if you've got a bit of spare cash, now is the good time to buy which is good because people who thought they could never afford to buy in Agnes can," he said.
The property was designed by an award winning Noosa based architects Bark and features five bedrooms, four bathrooms, 4km of beachfront land, large open living spaces and a stunning deck to sit and relax on.
"Houses like this one are few and far between but this is the best buying we've had in 12 years," Mr Rodgers said.
"It's all to do with price…beachfront lots that were going for $500,000 are selling at $320,000."
