Petrol tanker comes unstuck

A petrol tanker lost its tank on the Bruce Highway last night, about 9 kilometres north of Mount Larcom.

The incident happened at 10.15pm. Police said it was unclear how the tank became detached from the truck and the
Queensland Transport Authority will investigate.

The tank came to a stop on the highway. No injuries were reported.

The tank had to be emptied before it could be moved and the highway was closed for about one hour.

Police and fire services attended.
