PETER Perrett topped the list of 79 golfers in Monday's Three Way Meet in the Gladstone Veteran's golf competition.

Perrett carded 39 ahead of BITS' golfer Larry Cox with 30 and Calliope's Vince Chapman with a 37.

Denise Busteed was too good in the ladies class with 36 points.

The pin shot winners demonstrated great touch and judgement in which Kelvin Banks showed his class on the third hole, Bernie Machen on the fifth and Glen Wroe was closest on the 15th.

Kris I'Anson won the ladies' CTP with Cheryl Thomas closest on the 11th.

GV secretary Roy Jones said the day was great.

"The Gladstone Veterans Club would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Rotary Club of Gladstone in Port Curtis for their generous sponsorship of this very successful day," Jones said.

"Thanks also to Veterans Club member Merv Caird for donating two Measuring Wheels for measuring pin shot distances, and two boxes of golf balls were also donated by Roy Jones for prizes."
