Peregian bomb accused tells dad to come see him in jail

PEREGIAN bomb scare accused David John Ogden told his dad to come visit him in prison during a brief Maroochydore Magistrates Court appearance on Thursday afternoon.

The 26-year-old's defence solicitor John Gould requested Ogden's matters, which include trafficking dangerous drugs and threatening violence at night, be adjourned for a full committal hand-up to a higher court.

Ogden was arrested on April 20. Police detonated a bomb at a Gweneth Rd home in Peregian Beach later in the day.

He appeared via videolink from prison on Thursday afternoon.

Magistrate Annette Hennessy adjourned Ogden's matters to Monday.

A man yelled "love you son" from the public gallery.

"Thanks dad," Ogden replied. "Come see me."

"I will," the man replied before a police prosecutor yelled "that's enough".

Ogden was laughing as the videolink screen was turned off.
