People rescued from floodwaters at Miriam Vale

A NUMBER of people have been rescued after getting stuck in floodwaters at Miriam Vale this morning.

A car was found sitting in floodwater on Fingerboard Rd near Needle Flats.

The occupants had climbed on to the roof.

The SES and fire service were called, with the SES using a troop carrier to rescue the people.

An elderly man is being attended to by ambulance officers.

Gladstone police did not have details at this stage on how many people were in the vehicle.
