Past achievements keeps Kaitlyn going

PLAYING in representative netball side as a junior in Rockhampton and a two-year hiatus from the game has prompted Kaitlyn Ryan in returning to the sport.

The Valleys player moved to Gladstone five years ago with her husband she said there are no regrets.

"It's a great atmosphere and netball is a great team sport," Ryan said.

The diminutive athlete revels in the centre position for the S3 side in the local competition which commences on Tuesday, April 12.

"It's always in the action and centre is a fast-paced position," she said.

"It's a position where I get to enjoy all aspects of netball in defence and attack."

Ryan is impressed with the standard and despite the minor round matches displaying the spirit of the game; she said that things get really serious come finals time.

"The competition is great as is the standard and it gets pretty tough especially in finals when everyone plays to win," Ryan said.
