AN ACCOMPLICE and getaway driver involved in the killing of Gold Coast detective Damian Leeding are expected to be sentenced today.

The 35-year-old senior constable attempted to intervene as gunman Phillip Graeme Abell, 41 robbed the Pacific Pines Tavern in May 2011.

Donna Lee McAvoy, 40, was found guilty of murdering the father of three in September last year.

Driver Benjamin Ernest Power, 39, pleaded guilty to manslaughter.

Abell was sentenced in October to life imprisonment with no parole for at least 20 years.

Power and McAvoy will face Brisbane's Supreme Court this morning.
