Our Relay takes award

GLADSTONE has been recognised as being the home to one of healthiest Relay For Life events in Queensland.

The annual Relay for Life events promote fitness and healthiness in many ways.

The Healthy Relay Award 2009 was presented at a Cancer Council Queensland Relay For Life Awards ceremony recently. Relay For Life state manager Natalie Wust said the Gladstone event received the award for the volunteers' impressive commitment to the Relay mission and for their Fight Back ceremony at the event last year.

The committee was also noted for running the health check tent, which will be featured at this year's Relay this weekend. For more information about Relay For Life, visit www.relayforlife.org.au.
