Miriam Vale students connect with seniors' priceless past

SINCE 1999 Gladstone project, Our Priceless Past, has been forming a connection between generations.

In celebration of this year's launch - students and sponsor Ergon Energy gathered at the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery and Museum to open the exhibition on Tuesday.

This year Miriam Vale State School students participated in the story-telling of the project learning about the lives of senior citizens.

In his speech school principal Craig Hazen said students prepared their oral histories best tell the story of their guest.

"They have learnt that each generation has its challenges and knowledge opens our eyes to other plights allowing us to reflect on own lives," he said.
