Our little voices raise up big sounds at eisteddfod

GLADSTONE'S 43rd Eisteddfod reached another milestone this week when the vocal section performances were completed.

The event takes a short break now until Sunday when the instrumental section - the final section for this year - will be performed.

The dance section was held between September 22 and 26. Speech and drama followed from October 13-16, with vocal hard on its heels.

Sunday's program will see participants show off their skills in keyboard, piano, bands/orchestras and ensembles.

On Monday more ensembles will perform, along with instrumental groups, concert bands, more piano, brass and stringed instruments.

It's the turn of woodwind and brass musicians on Tuesday and Wednesday, before the event wraps up.

See full results and photos in The Observer's eisteddfod feature on Thursday, October 31.
