Orchestra will drum up golden era of swing on GECC stage
IF YOU are an orchestra-loving type of person, the Glenn Miller Orchestra is for you.
Featuring 26 musicians, singers, and dancers on stage, performing the unforgettable music of the 1940s, the golden era of swing, this show will be amazing.
It's on Thursday, June 26 at 7.30pm at the GECC.
It will bring back all those sentimental memories of the great "big band" hits, the original Glenn Miller arrangements, the music of The Andrews Sisters, the Frank Sinatra Songbook, the romantic Second World War melodies made famous by Vera Lynn and many more.
After 77 years, the musical arrangements are still heard worldwide.
Tickets are $89.90 for adults; or $84.90 for pensioners, Friends of the Theatre, children up to age 14, and persons forming a group of 10 or more.
The show is expected to be a sell-out.
