Opening of Calliope McDonald's delayed for a few days

MINOR setbacks have delayed the opening of McDonald's Calliope Travel Centre, which was anticipated to open on Thursday.

A McDonald's spokesperson said it was now expected the restaurant would open on Saturday.

It will be the third McDonald's restaurant to be operated in Gladstone.

Mr Ward has been a franchisee for 12 years and took over the already standing Gladstone franchises from licensee Ron Hawkins last year.

McDonald's Calliope Travel Centre and Puma Fuels is at the Calliope crossroads, at the Dawson and Bruce Hwy junction.
