#OMG Can-Do's team defends bypass, insults public servants

PREMIER Campbell Newman's social media team is on the defensive today over both the Toowoomba Bypass and cuts to the public service sector.

Queensland Treasurer Tim Nicholls today announced a $342 million funding commitment to ensure the long-awaited Toowoomba Bypass became a reality.

A post on Mr Newman's Facebook page criticised the Queensland Government's involvement in the project.

It read: "OMG, do we really need a 2nd Range? How about reinstate the jobs you took".

Mr Newman's "Premier's Team" fired back, responding with its own "OMG!".

"(The Toowoomba Bypass) is needed and will create jobs. Real jobs" the response read.
