Old Barney Point Butchery not carving up much interest

ACCORDING to Ray White Special Projects agent Matthew Fritzsche the site of the old Barney Point Butchery, where Peter Corones suggested Aldi develop, is not getting much interest on the market.

He said the site was four lots that could be sold in one or separately.

When asked whether the residential zoning (meaning it couldn't be turned into a shop without council approval) could be an issue he said he couldn't really say because they hadn't had any commercial interest.

"But I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to change if someone was serious about using it as a commercial property," he said.

"The owners are keen to sell it. Not desperate, just keen."
