Oktoberfest tickets selling out quick, ahead of Saturday

AN increase in early tickets sales will have this weekend's Gladstone Oktoberfest organisers beaming from ear to ear.

Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre box office and Rotaract organisers have reported that they've already sold hundreds of tickets for Saturday's event.

They said 25 times more pre-sale tickets than ever before; a whopping 2,400% increase and still selling fast.

The annual event will be held at the Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre for the first time this year, featuring international beers and an Aussie rock music extravaganza by ACCA DACCA, Powderedfinger and Chisel'd.

Profits from ticket sales, raffles and prize draws will be going to local charity Roseberry House.

Tickets sales will be capped at 1000.

Here's some photos from last year's event that was postponed and held in November.
