Officers spat on after responding to residence

TWO police officer's will undergo disease testing after they were allegedly spat on in two separate incidents in Brisbane yesterday.

Around 11.50pm last night police attended a residence on Fahey Street in Zillmere in relation to a disturbance where it is alleged a man spat in the face of a male officer.

A 26-year-old North Lakes man was charged with serious assault police and possession of dangerous drugs.

In an unrelated incident police attempted to remove a woman from a business on Castlemaine Street, Milton around 9.30pm when it is alleged she spat in the face of a female officer.

A 29-year-old Wynnum woman was charged with drunk and disorderly in a licensed premises, obstruct police and serious assault police.

The man and woman were both denied bail and held in custody overnight before appearing in the Brisbane Magistrates Court this morning.

Both police officers attended hospital for treatment.
