Officers to investigate overnight house fire on Trevally St

EMERGENCY services attended a house fire on Trevally St in Gladstone in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

It was initially thought a young girl might be inside the premises, but all persons were accounted for outside of the house.

The neighbours either side of the alight premises were evacuated for a short time.

The fire, which occurred at about 2am, was contained by firefighters to the lounge room.

It is unknown whether the fire is suspicious or not.

Gladstone police said officers will be attending the scene on Tuesday to investigate further.
