Office wear that's stylish and bold

COME Monday morning and I believe we all wonder, what to wear to work? Depending on your industry and office dress code, we can all get stuck in a work dress rut and find ourselves in an unofficial uniform every day. So here is some sartorial inspiration on office wear that is different, stylish and bold.

Power dressing doesn't mean you have to look like the women from Robert Palmer's Addicted to Love music video. You can take your style to work and still look professional.

The ever-underestimated presence and classiness of a suit can be worn in bold colour blocking or even in a printed co-ord set. Steer away from grey and pair your new bright trouser and jacket combination with dainty brogues or slick heels.

Alternatively, printed shirts can be modernised when tucked into a leather pencil skirt or tailored bottoms and accented with statement bags or jewellery. Finishing off with a blazer, you can project an air of feminine confidence through your clothing and into your work.

Take inspiration from Parisian chic when it comes to smart casual. They are masters of the smart casual balancing game.

Oversized pinstriped shirts are currently stylish. These can be tucked into a pair of culotte trousers.

Knitwear, chunky or thin, can be worn with textured A-line skirts and low sling-back mules.
