NRL hit for six as new logo compared to Cricket Australia's

ARL Commission chairman John Grant has launched a new logo to be worn by every player from under 6s to the NRL

premiership teams.

Featuring two gold chevrons and the Southern Cross on a green shield, the logo has been compared to that of Cricket Australia's.

The same logo will be used across the game but in different colours for state and other affiliated bodies.

The Queensland logo will be maroon and grey.

The move is a bid to end years of confusion, particularly at grassroots level, where development officers often complain that juniors don't understand the relationship between the NRL and ARL, state leagues and country leagues, because of the different logos.

"The whole purpose of both the five-year plan and the brand strategy is to ensure that everyone can identify their place in the game and work to a common goal," Mr Grant said.
