No kidding! Gary the goat takes comedy lying down

HE'S got 300,000 followers on Facebook, and is currently touring Australia - but be careful, he'll steal your hot chips.

Gary the Goat is hitting Gladstone's Grand Hotel, accompanied by his owner and comedian Jimbo Bazoobi.

Jimbo and Gary visit country towns, providing the public with plenty of laughs and some dirty Australian country humour.

Jimbo bought Gary when he was nine months old and has developed a special bond with him over the past three years.

"He's my best mate and now he's my partner," Jimbo said.

"He doesn't juggle or play guitar, but he loves people and he loves a party."

Jimbo said Gladstone was a big step up for him and his pet as the pair usually performed in tiny towns.

Gary can get into mischief, although he still remains modest about his popularity.

"He got in trouble by police in Sydney once for eating grass. I took him to court," he said.

"It hasn't gone to his head, yet."

Jimbo's comedy show is sure to generate interest from the community and he encourages anyone to watch.

"We want people to forget about their worries and come down."

The pair will be at the hotel from 8pm on Thursday.
