Next big thing found at Beerwah

THE Sunshine Coast has been home to the Big Pineapple and the Big Cow but can now claim another biggie - the giant Twistie.

A bloke from Beerwah has posted an ad for the whopper chip, which appears to be bigger than his fingers, on Gumtree.

"Shane" as he is identified, is looking to trade the "unbelievably big" Twistie - possibly the biggest ever made - for something else.

"I'm interested in swap for other unique big snack. Or make a cash offer. No stupid offers please," his ad says.

The Daily is still trying to make contact with Shane to establish the dimensions of the monster Twistie. It is not clear if it is cheese or chicken flavour.

Shane is not the first person to look to profit on a big food find.

In 2003, a french fry measuring more than 17cm which was served up a a Wisconsin family restaurant sold for $US200 on eBay.

However, this paled in comparison to one more than 24cm long found three years later in a bag of frozen fries at a sandwich shop in Kansas, and a 60cm doozy found in a serve of curly fries in North Carolina.

Giant Cornflakes at 8-10cm long have been offered for sale on the internet, although the largest we could find seemed to be measure about 12cm.

We are not sure what any of them fetched but a Cornflake in the shape of Illinois sold for $US1350 in 2009.

Remember, life would be pretty straight...
