New Vietnamese restaurant opens in Gladstone

A NEW Vietnamese restaurant had a grand opening yesterday at Gladstone Charter Square Hall.

Pho Hien Viet Nam opened its doors at 9am serving customers Vietnamese spring rolls and special Vietnamese bread rolls.

The bread rolls are a culmination of the Vietnamese colonisation by the French.

From the French they use bread and pate and from the Vietnamese they use sweet pork with chilli, carrot, coriander and cucumber.

The restaurant, located next to the Reject Shop, offers different varieties of soup, including rare beef noodle and other dishes such as grilled pork chops and crispy chicken.
