New section of Gladstone Mt Larcom Rd open to traffic

ROAD users travelling on Gladstone Mt Larcom Rd on Tuesday are urged to take extra care following some traffic changes.

Cars travelling towards Gladstone will be partially diverted onto the new carriageway, adjacent to the WICET site, for 700m through to the Anabranch Bridge.

Drivers heading toward Yarwun will continue to use the existing carriageway.

The speed limit for both directions has been reduced to 60km/h.

Road users are reminded to pay attention to signage and adhere to the reduced speed limits.

The community is also being encouraged to sign up for real-time updates with the new WICET app, available for download via the App Store or Google Play.
