New name for Facebook page makes us easier to find

THE Observer's Facebook page has been renamed "The Observer" instead of Gladstone, making it easier to find us on the popular social network.

The page is updated throughout the day with great information about what's happening in the region, plus plenty of discussion about topics that matter to you.

There's also fun things to do, such as our "Caption this photo" posts and "Where is this?" photo posts.

Our Facebook followers have joined in our "Create a story" thread (read about the adventures of CSG worker Billy Bob) and "Fill in the blank".

Topics that have generated discussion over the past week include drivers on the Bruce Hwy, the amount of jewellery stores in Gladstone and where the best beaches are.

Followers have been kept up to date on big news items such as Melbourne Cup Day, the US presidential election and the death of Cyril Golding.

We even showed off The Observer staff in all their Cup day finery.

So far 2156 people have liked our page, and we'd love you to join them.
