New-look ambulance station to be officially opened
HEALTH and Ambulance Services Minister Cameron Dick will officially open the refurbished Gladstone Ambulance Station on Thursday.
Mr Dick said $1.8 million worth of improvements to the station had delivered a more modern facility that would better suit the needs of paramedics.
"The station, which was originally built in 1967, has had a much-needed refurbishment and redesign to bring it up-to-date with the needs of modern paramedics," Mr Dick said.
"The works include safer and more functional work areas, including a training room, study area, improved storage areas patient care supplies as well as new kitchen, day room and vehicle facilities."
