New hope for Rotary Medical Bus

A CENTRAL Queensland Hospital and Health Board meeting today will determine the future of the Rotary Medical Bus.

Member for Gladstone Glenn Butcher said he hoped the board would agree on a funding amount to ensure the free service continues to run in the short term.

Mr Butcher confirmed the Gladstone Central Committee on the Ageing would still support the service, which transports patients to Rockhampton for specialist treatment.

The bus stopped running on June 5.
