New car for Shontae will make a huge difference

THIS car will make a huge difference to the Denniss family.
My daughter Shontae is in a wheelchair and I would have to carry her in and out of our old four-wheel drive.
We've recently purchased a car with wheelchair access, thanks to money raised from Gladstone fundraisers and some of my own.
Shontae had a Bowen therapy on Wednesday and usually I would have had to take another person to help lift the wheelchair in and out of our old car.
This time we just went together as the access was easier.
We then stopped at the shops on the way home. That has never been an option - just the two of us.
We will have better access to parks, family barbecues, etc with this new car.
I cannot thank the community and my awesome family and friends enough.
A message from Tink McCullen:
Michelle's Mum is an amazing lady who tirelessly works to raise awareness and funds for the degenerative needs of Shontae's RETT.
And how amazing is the Gladstone community! Blessed to live here, and have the support from all of these people:
- Geoff and the team from Just Rock Gladstone for the Rock n Roll
- The Community Hub, Runaway Bay Juniors League Club
- The Grand Hotel, Rob Kidd and Nathan Bedford
- Craig and the team from BITS Golf Club
- Chris Trevor and Auto Barn.
Shontae has Rett Syndrome, a neurological disorder caused by a genetic change on the X-chromosome.
