New boutique right fit
GLADSTONE’S well-heeled and soleful are likely to have just one thing on their minds today – new shoes.
Colleen Trevor’s dream of opening a new shoe shop, come accessories haven, come beauty boutique, has come true and Happy Feet’s doors will swing open at 9am today.
In true cake and champagne fashion, Mrs Trevor, will welcome the women of Gladstone (and any man brave enough) into her new Goondoon Street store.
“This is a dream come true,” Mrs Trevor said during a special sneak peak of the Happy Feet store yesterday.
“I have been researching this for a long time and everything from the range of labels to the products I am using in the beauty treatments, has been very carefully selected.”
Mrs Trevor said by her side on opening day would be her dedicated staff – Karina Bacon, Aleesha Barr and Dani Davis.
It’s got a kind of gallery appeal – decked out in sharp red and black fixtures, a flecked black polished cement style floor and stunning occasional furniture pieces, it’s a nice bit of retail escapism.
Labels have been sourced from throughout the country with leading labels also brought in from Brazil and Europe.
But make sure the credit card is cleared. One especially decadent pair of blingy stilettos will set you back more than $300.
That said, you can sneak a cute pair of platforms on the plastic for $55 – and the husband will likely not even notice.
“The way I see it, it’s Happy Feet, happy times, happy wife,” she said.
