New Auckland break-in nets $2000 for thieves
GLADSTONE police have issued a report detailing incidents that have happened in the region recently.
A man has been arrested and charged at Tannum Sands after he allegedly punched the screen of a poker machine, causing damage to the screen.
A property on Glenlyon Rd, Gladstone, was broken into and a blue laptop was stolen from an outdoor table.
A black Pagsta Regal Raptor motorcycle - 448DX - has been stolen from Springs Rd, Agnes Water.
The bike has flames painted on the fuel tank and on the rear fender of the bike, police say.
The front fender has been spray painted black. If the paint is scratched, the original colour of pink will be underneath.
Offenders found the keys under the seat of the motorcycle, which was parked at a backpacker hostel, and took off with the vehicle.
Loose change totalling $60, house keys and car keys were stolen during a burglary at a property on Daniel Dr, Gladstone.
Meanwhile, $2000 cash (in $50 denominations) and cigarettes were stolen from a property on Cockatoo Dr, New Auckland.
The offender/s cut zip ties that were holding a fence together, entered through an unlocked back door and stole the property from a kitchen bench.
A water bottle and a small quantity of money was stolen from a vehicle parked in Glenlyon St, Gladstone. The left side of the vehicle's windscreen was smashed.
A boat trailer with Queensland registration 280QKG was stolen from Bryan Jordan Dr, Gladstone.
The boat was being stored on a rack at the Port City Marina. Wires also were cut to a GPS/fish finder and a marine radio.
A white Aspinall pig trailer with registration 130QVK was stolen from the back car park of Nhulundu Wooribah Indigenous Health in Manning St, Gladstone.
The trailer may have chairs and tables inside it.
Three hundred litres of diesel was stolen from a vehicle on the Bruce Hwy, Calliope, and equipment was damaged.
The offender/s removed the vehicle's belly plate, cut the fuel line and extracted the diesel.
A break-in at Hibiscus Ave, Sun Valley, netted $800 cash. Offender/s entered the property through the upstairs front door by damaging the lock.
Panels of a green Suzuki Swift hatchback were damaged at the caravan park on the Bruce Hwy at Benaraby.
Police said it appeared the offender/s approached the vehicle and damaged panels of the vehicle possibly by punching/kicking.
The back of the vehicle appeared to have been hit with an object.
