Neighbours make good friends in best streets

NEIGHBOURS make all the difference when it comes to how much people love where they live in Gladstone, according to The Observer's Facebook likers.

We asked our Facebook friends what they loved most about where they lived, and good neighbours was the most common answer.

Living in a quiet street also was a bonus.

Dave and Jodie Halls said their street was the best place to live because of "excellent neighbours, quiet street, family orientated and we always have a Christmas street party".

Abby Foxhall said she liked her street because it had quiet neighbours, and was a two-minute walk to the beach.

Peter and Kelly Barb said their street had a hill for exercise, and awesome neighbours.

"I know all my neighbours and it's close to shops and work and school."

Sometimes it was a lack of neighbours that made a street appealing, with some commenters saying the amount of space between them and any neighbours was a plus.

Jaiden Ward said, "Two hundred acres separate us from our neighbours", while Kym Hannant said her street was great because "my house is the only house on it".
