Need furniture? Check out this auction

IF YOU are in the market for some furniture but don't want to pay full price keep an eye out for this blind auction.

Bidding will start on Monday August 17 for a range of second hand items from desks and chairs, whiteboards and coffee tables from Gladstone Ports Corporation.

A full list of the items to be sold can be found on the GPC website.

GPC sustainability specialist Mike Duggan said his organisation would 'walk the talk' when it came to sustainable practices and waste management.

"All too often, unused items such as these would be discarded and end up as landfill, but GPC is committed to managing and reducing its waste and recycling," Mr Duggan said.

"We encourage the community to get involved in this fantastic opportunity to purchase quality furniture and equipment and to assist us in re-homing these unused items."

Successful bidders will be notified on Tuesday, August 25 and Wednesday 26.

The pick up point will be 4 Gibson St, just off Hanson Rd from Friday, August 28.

Read the terms and conditions before bidding.
