New arrival Naomi loves chilling out at Tannum Sands

LAST month Naomi Stubbs and her family made a big move to sunny central Queensland from Devonport in Tasmania.

"It's usually quite chilly in Tasmania so we definitely still don't have the chill factor here," she laughed.

"The town where we came from was small, and so we do enjoy living in Tannum Sands."

The Stubbs household is made up of her husband Todd, and four kids, Georgie, 16, twins Ben and Luke, 14 and Noah, 6.

The decision to move to Tannum Sands was due to Todd starting a new job at Cement Australia in Gladstone.

"We really love it here because of the easy-going lifestyle and we love going swimming at the beaches in Tannum Sands," she said.

The qualified hairdresser hopes to make an occupation change, by looking into the retail career opportunities in the region.

But in the meantime she planned to get the kids settled in primary and high schools and start to meet a few more locals.

During her spare time she said she enjoys riding her motorised scooter and taking the kids to the Tannum Sands main beach.

Naomi is featured in The Observer's weekend fashion feature in Saturday's paper with Georgie O'Meara, modelling the latest clothing available at a new store in Tannum Sands, Luceo.

"I was flattered that I got the chance to have the opportunity to be involved, they have such lovely clothing," Naomi said.
