VIDEO: man walks away from stolen car crash on Yeppoon Rd

BREAKING 9.30AM: POLICE are at the scene of a single vehicle rollover on Yeppoon Rd near access six with mysterious circumstances. 

When police arrived on scene of the serious crash, the driver and occupants of the vehicle were missing.

An officer at the scene said 'this is lucky not to be a fatality'.

 

 

Queensland Ambulance officers searched the scene for victims but found no-one.

Upon searching the vehicle, police uncovered the ID of a Rockhampton man. 

A search of local hospitals found the man had admitted himself to the Emergency Department of Rockhampton hospital early this morning with non life-threatening facial injuries. 

Initial reports suggest the vehicle involved in the incident was allegedly stolen and crashed overnight. 

No emergency services were notified at the time of the crash and occupants of the vehicle left the scene. 

Further reports suggest emergency services received a call at about 3.20am regarding a man walking along Yeppoon Rd towards Rockhampton. 

Upon responding, emergency services could not locate the man.
