Mum passes on the rains of mowing job

MEET local Nikeeya Jensen, 16, from Agnes Water, who spent yesterday morning mowing her mother's lawn.

Every two weeks Nikeeya's mum pulls out the rusty but trusty old mower from the shed.

Before handing over the reins to her daughter, Nikeeya says her mum needs to start it first because it doesn't work when she tries.

"Mum went to Bundy today so once I figure out how to turn the mower off I'll go for a swim," she said.
