Kids and horses keep Calliope mum busy

WITH 20 horses, three dogs, a cat, three children and a husband, Rebecca Marsh is a busy woman.

The stay-at-home mum was born in Gladstone and moved to Cairns where she grew up, but moved back to Calliope seven years ago.

Her three children, Emily, 11, Ella, 9 and Molly, 7, go to Calliope State Primary School.

"All of the animals get along and they're great with the kids," Mrs Marsh said.

She said she tried to bring up her daughters the "old school" way.

"The girls don't watch TV during the week and they're outside a lot.

"They're only allowed on the computers for a certain amount of time.

"It's important to bring the girls up like that, I think."

In her spare time, she said, she loved to exercise, sometimes twice a day.

Last night she watched a screening of 50 Shades of Grey with 23 friends in the Gold Room.

"I'm a full-time mum, but I can go away and have my fun girly nights too," she said.
