Multiple fire crews attend vegetation fire at Mount Morgan

AT AROUND 12.30pm today multiple Queensland Fire and Rescue Service (QFRS) crews were on scene at a vegetation fire burning at Nine Mile Road and Fernvale Road, Nine Mile Creek (Mount Morgan).

Firefighters were first called to the fire yesterday at approximately 4.30pm.

Firefighters have been working to contain the fire and protect properties in the area.

A smoke hazard has been affecting the area and those who suffer from or are susceptible to respiratory illness are advised to close windows and doors.

If residents believe their property is under threat, they are advised to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
