Muddies look to improve

On Saturday we take on Panthers in our first home game which will also be a night game starting at 5.40pm.

Last weekend we had a good win against BITS, but we still have a lot of room for improvement and I will be looking for tomorrow.

We had some great passages of play last Saturday, but we also had times where we lost focus of our game plan.

Our aim is consistent footy this year and once we achieve this I'll be a happy coach.

A positive was our first and last quarters under the dryer conditions where we moved the ball well, so hopefully we can have four quarters like this on Saturday night. In recent years we have had tight battles with Panthers, so I expect them to come out hard against us early as they always do.

They have some quality players on their list who we need to be aware of, but I am looking for us to focus on our game plan and play our style of footy.

Improvements from round to round is what I'm looking for early in the season and if we improve on last week hopefully we'll take away the points. Program: U13 10.30am; U15 - 11.40am; U17 - 1.00pm; Reserves - 2.30pm; Ladies - 4.30pm; Seniors - 5.40pm.
