Muddies dominate BITS

A SEVEN-GOAL haul to Shane Eilola and five to the rugged Zac Jahn proved the difference in Gladstone Mudcrabs' 20.10 (130) to BITS 14.5 (89) win in AFL Capricornia.

One would not know that the result would end up like it did after visiting BITS led by seven points at the first change.

However, urged on by a large home crowd at Clinton Oval, the Muddies went into overdrive to pile on 9.3 in the second term to bust the game open.

Mudcrabs booted another seven in the third quarter to lead by 64 points at three-quarter-time.

BITS salvaged some pride to kick five in the last quarter, but the damage was done in the middle terms.

Kyle Richardson and the classy Josh Brown were creative for the men in green while youngster Ben Dempsey booted another bag of five goals and fellow promising young BITS forward Kane Haua kicked three along with Ky Hull.

Brendan Clarke was best afield for the visitors.

The Mudcrabs are at home again to Rockhampton Panthers while BITS face winless Rocky Brothers at BITS this Saturday.
