Mt Larcom Cafe hitting the spot

IT HAS been a year since Julie and Peter Beel bought the Mt Larcom Cafe and turned it into their own business.

She said 12 months on the cafe was "running really well".

The family live next door and changed the shop, putting in a dining area and increasing the supplies for travellers along the highway.

The cafe has always been known for its pies, but Mrs Beel's recipe change has impressed many people.

Her dedicated staff help in the cafe, which not only caters to tourists along the way, but also the many road workers who have been improving the Bruce Hwy in the area.
