Man caught driving day after licence disqualified
TYRONE Bean lost his licence for another 2½ years after being disqualified from driving by a Gladstone court; then caught the next day hundreds of kilometres away driving his aunty to far north Queensland.
"Within a day he's up in Ravenshoe," commented magistrate Jeffrey Clarke.
Bean, 24, pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court to driving when disqualified at Ravenshoe at 9.30pm on April 24.
The court heard Bean was driving his aunty to a funeral and got behind the wheel just two hours before his arrest.
The disqualification is added to his first disqualification; he was fined $750.
