MP Ken O'Dowd's message to school leavers
TOMORROW will be the last day of school for many senior students in Flynn, a day that marks the end of their school career's and the beginning of an exciting new chapter full of possibility and excitement.
I would like to congratulate all of our graduating students on their achievements throughout the course of their education thus far.
To our graduates: some of you will have a clearly defined path for the next step of your lives, and others may be yet to decide on exactly where the next chapter will take you.
Regardless of whether you are off to further your education at university or college, heading into the workforce or taking off on an adventure elsewhere, I would encourage you to be passionate and enthusiastic in everything you put your hand to. Hard work and dedication are qualities that will only stand you in good stead irrespective of your chosen path.
Each of us are inherently different and therefore success will always come in different forms for different people. Endeavour not to let the perceived success of someone else dictate how you measure success in your own life, as one size certainly doesn't fit all.
Therefore, I strongly encourage you, despite all the excitement, to be smart and safe in your celebrations, and wish you all the very best for the next chapter of your lives.
