PHOTOS, VIDEO | Motorcyclist thrown 'metres'

TWO motorists were involved in a collision yesterday around 4.30pm when a car turning right onto Larson and Patterson St, West Gladstone, was involved in a collision with with a motorcyclist.

The motorcyclist came off his bike and landed metres away.

A QAS spokesperson said the initial report indicated while the man was "lying on the ground, there was movement".

Police, ambulance and fire crews attended the scene. Ambulance paramedics worked on the motocyclist's injuries at the scene before transporting him to hospital around 5.30pm. He was reported to be in a stable condition at 6pm yesterday.

The driver of the car did not sustain any major injuries, and provided police information after the accident.
