Motorcycle crash leaves man in hospital

THE Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a serious single motorcycle crash that occurred on Sunday morning in Gladstone.

Initial investigations indicate that around 8.45am a motorcycle was travelling east down the Dawson Highway when the rider appeared to have lost control and fell onto the road.

A 56-year-old Eastern Heights man was transported to Gladstone Base Hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

There is no further information available at this stage. Investigations are continuing.
