Motokhana kind of weekend

THE Central Coast Car Club Inc is holding a "Come & Try Motorkhana" at the deep end of the Drag Strip at Benaraby Raceway this Sunday, October 19 starting at 8.30am.

The Club is trying to encourage younger Junior Drivers into the sport.  There is a Club car available for juniors to hire for a nominal fee. Under CAMS regulation Juniors from the age of 12 years who can show they have the ability to control a vehicle can compete.

A Motorkhana is a test of the Drivers skill manoeuvring the vehicle around a set course without incurring penalties.  Cars are divided into classes according to wheel base.  Almost any vehicle is eligible to run in a motorkhana.

Entries open at 8.30a.m.  Scrutineering of cars from 8.30 - 9.30a.m.  Event starts at 10.00a.m. till approx. 3.00p.m. There will be 12 tests run with varying degrees of difficulty.  Only one car is allowed on the track at a time with the fastest in class the winner.  Passenger rides are allowed after signing the appropriate indemnity forms.

PLEASE NOTE: All REGISTERED VEHICLES wishing to compete will need a Third-Party Extension from their Insurer.
