Woman charged over horror accident which killed boy, 6

A MOTHER has been charged over a horror car accident which claimed the life of a young boy in Sydney last year.

A 38-year-old woman was walking down at street at Carlingford with her six-year-old son and two nieces when they were bowled over by a car.

The woman and one of her nieces were hospitalised but the boy died at the scene.

The 46-year-old driver, who had two young children in the car with her, was treated for shock.

She was this week charged with negligent driving occasioning death and negligent drive occasioning grievous bodily harm and will front court on May 7.
