Bureau issues warning with more storms on the way
UPDATE 3.10PM: DESPITE a blackened sky and raindrops in the region Gladstone has been taken off the Bureau of Meteorology's severe thunderstorm warning alert.
An alert issued at 3.06pm stated that locations which may still be affected include Rockhampton, Mackay, Biloela, Blackwater, Yeppoon, Baralaba, Marlborough, St Lawrence, Sarina, Moura, Nebo and Eungella.
EARLIER: THE storms just keep on coming, with the Bureau of Meteorology issuing a severe thunderstorm warning for the Gladstone region, with large hailstones, heavy rain and strong winds expected.
The warning, issued at 11.02am on Tuesday, said severe thunderstorms were likely to produce damaging winds, heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding and large hailstones over the next several hours.
Locations which may be affected include Gladstone, Rockhampton and Yeppoon.
The warning area was widened just after noon to include Biloela, Blackwater, Marlborough, St Lawrence and Moura.
The warning follows a spectacular lightning show in Gladstone on Monday night after a weekend of heavy rain.
Gladstone's weather is expected to clear up later in the week before storms roll in again on Saturday.
