More crashes as two riders seriously injured

MULTIPLE motorbike crashes have happened within minutes of each other in the Sunshine Coast hinterland where two men have been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Queensland Ambulance Service were called to Mount Kilcoy Rd, Mt Kilcoy about 11.44am for a man who crashed his motorbike.

He suffered chest and abdominal injuries and was airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

About 25 minutes later paramedics were also called to Coonowrin Rd, Glass House Mountains, where a man in his 40s was involved in a single-motorbike crash.

He suffered head and chest injuries and was rushed to hospital under the watch of a critical care paramedic in a serious but stable condition.
