Monster roams free despite fresh charges

THE monster who raped, sodomised and molested three young boys is roaming free in the community despite committing more offences against another two boys less than a month after receiving a two-year suspended sentence.

The QT has previously published the man's name and photo as he is now an adult but cannot do so in this story as it would identify Sam.

The man was arrested on February 9, 2016 at his home in Thagoona and was charged with 10 offences including two counts of indecent treatment of a child.

The alleged offences occurred on six separate occasions between January 7 and February 8, 2016 and involved two young boys who were visiting his mother's house.

He was remarkably released on bail albeit under strict conditions which include he live at a specific address, report to police twice a week, have no contact with his two alleged victims, including via social media, and not be left unsupervised with any person under 18 years old.

The QT can exclusively reveal the man's mother had known about her son's offending for years but failed to act. Her partner is also a serving Qld police officer who works in the child protection unit.

The man will next appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court on April 20.
